Description
Nesidiocoris tenuis, also known as the predatory bug, is an insect belonging to the Miridae family. Both its adults and nymphs are voracious predators of various pests, especially whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci and Trialeurodes vaporariorum), and also provide excellent control over leaf miners, thrips, spider mites, and lepidopteran eggs.
This bug is particularly effective in spring and summer growing cycles, when its life cycle develops optimally. Adults distribute themselves throughout the plant, concentrating on the stem tips in tomato crops.
To release the individuals, place the container horizontally and gently rotate it to homogenize the contents. Distribute the product directly onto the leaves or in special release boxes.
It is essential to conduct technical monitoring to ensure an optimal balance between the predator and the pest, especially when prey density is low.
Store the container horizontally, at a temperature of 8–10 °C, and without breaking the cold chain. Once received, use the product as soon as possible. If you cannot apply it immediately, you can store it for a maximum of 48 hours, always away from sunlight and any pesticide residues.
