Nemato Control Fungus Gnat: The most effective biological control for soil pests
Entomopathogenic nematodes are microscopic worms, which can reach up to 6 mm in length, with a small, round worm shape, and act as predators of insect pest larvae. They are completely harmless to plants, animals, and humans. Once applied, these nematodes seek out their host and, thanks to a symbiotic bacterium they release inside the insect, eliminate it within 48 hours.
Application method and recommended dosage
For optimal application, dilute the product in water and ensure the mixture is homogenized. You can apply it via irrigation or by spraying directly onto the soil. It is essential to apply the treatment at the end of the day to avoid exposure to UV rays, which can harm the nematodes.
The recommended dosage is 500,000 to 1,000,000 individuals per m², and can be applied in a single dose or weekly, depending on the intensity of the pest.
Conditions of use and storage
To ensure maximum effectiveness, the substrate must have a temperature not lower than 14–15 °C and sufficient humidity. It is not recommended to use fungicides, acaricides, or soil insecticides during treatment.
The product should be used immediately upon receipt. If you need to store it, keep the bag at a temperature of 2–6 °C and protect it from light; it can last for several months. Check the expiration date on the packaging.
