Mon Control to combat thrips and whiteflies
Transeius montdorensis (formerly Amblyseius montdorensis) is a predatory mite from the Phytoseiidae family, ideal for the biological control of thrips and whiteflies. It also feeds on other mites, small arthropods, and even pollen, allowing it to survive when pest populations are low. It is compatible with other beneficial insects and adapts to many crops.

How it works
These mites insert their mouthparts into the prey (thrips, whiteflies, etc.) and devour them completely, making them very effective. They work well in both outdoor and protected crops, including greenhouses, nurseries, and seedbeds.
How to use Mon Control?
Depending on the chosen format, the following guidelines should be followed:
- Bottles/Bags: Gently rotate horizontally before opening. Spread over leaves in small piles.
- Sachets: Hang on the plant at mid-height, avoiding direct sunlight and heated areas.
- Recommended dosage: For preventive use, 20–50 mites/m² (in one or more releases). In case of already widespread pests, use 50–150 mites/m².
- Minimum recommended temperature: Always use at temperatures above 10 °C (below this, they do not establish well).
- To store correctly, keep at a temperature of 15–18 °C, away from light and pesticides, without breaking the cold chain. Use within 48 hours of delivery.
- Do not store bumblebee hives in enclosed spaces.
