Description
Metal-sheen adhesive tape is a much-needed item for our indoor grows, as we need a strong and durable material to properly secure ventilation accessories. This tape is made with the best materials, so we only have to install ducts and accessories once and avoid air leaks.
It's common to use poor-quality adhesive tapes in our grows, as sometimes we need them and resort to low-quality adhesives. Indoor grow rooms tend to get very hot, especially the duct through which we extract all the hot air. With the temperature, poor-quality tapes peel off, causing air leaks or preventing the air in our grow space from being sufficiently renewed.
Now we won't have that problem, as this metal-sheen adhesive tape perfectly withstands high temperatures. We can secure all our accessories without danger, even if the joints have to withstand very high temperatures. We can tape the hottest joints, such as those of our cooled reflectors or cooltubes. It's very common for these types of joints to peel off, but with metal-sheen adhesive tape, we'll only have to install them once.
You have 3 different qualities of metal-sheen adhesive tape: normal and wide, and reinforced. The first two will serve for joints with less resistance, such as ventilation duct joints, filter-to-duct connections, indizono duct ozonizer, or parts that do not offer much resistance force.
The reinforced tape comes with a fiber mesh inside, ideal for joints that need more strength. Joints that require more resistance can be those of large ducts to high-CFM extractors, where the air flow itself exerts force against the ducts. In short, it is usually used when our installation consists of ducts and accessories with a diameter equal to or greater than 250 mm.
A tape with which we won't have to do the same job twice, as what we stick will remain joined until we want it to, not until temperature or time dictates.
How to use metal-sheen adhesive tape
- We will have to join the two parts well, without leaving any pockets or wrinkles. We will stick the two parts with the metal-sheen adhesive tape, and once placed, we will insist on pressing on the tape so that it is well adhered.
- On flat surfaces, we can use a card to help stick it well, so that we don't get air bubbles and the adhesive is well fixed to the parts to be joined.
- Once placed, we will see how it is very difficult to peel off, so our parts and joints will be secure.
- Make sure not to leave gaps or spaces where air can enter or exit, as these can be leaks of odors, temperature, or extraction flow.
- Both the metal-sheen adhesive tape and the reinforced tape can be easily cut by hand.
