Hanna’s HI-98131 Gro-Line Multi-purpose tester is a slim, handy tester that looks similar to a pen. It has just two buttons, which are all you need to configure it correctly. It’s also waterproof, although this doesn’t mean that you can just dunk it under water whenever and wherever – it’s designed to float. You can also switch out the electrodes after excessive use. It has an LCD screen that allows you to see the pH/EC/TDS values, battery levels and general stability.

This fantastic model has a quick calibration mode, allowing you to calibrate your device with a simple movement. It also has classic calibration modes for EC/TDS and pH. Remember, it’s incredibly important to keep the probe end clean. We recommend using Hannah’s cleaning solution and a small brush after each and every use. We recommend calibrating it every 2-3 weeks, depending on how much you’re using it.
How to use:
It’s incredibly easy to use; simply press the on button, and in order to change the measuring system simply hold the “on” button for around 6 seconds. Once EC appears on the screen, you can switch from 500 to 700 PPM by pressing the SET/HOLD button. Once you’ve chosen your preferred unit of measurement, press the on button once and the meter will go into calibration mode. You can choose quick calibration mode or classic mode. After calibrating, press the on button again and you can select between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Lastly, if you press the on button again you can choose how long before it automatically turns off.
