If you're thinking of preserving the genetics of your favorite cannabis seeds, GB brings you the new Cutting Kit from Boom Nutrients, ideal for both beginner and experienced growers. This pack contains the necessary elements for proper cloning, such as a soft plastic propagator, a 104-cell Plugin Pro tray, and Cloner Boom rooting gel. It also includes straight-tip scissors, a scalpel, and a spray gun, to ensure the adequate production and maintenance of your seedlings. To obtain quality cuttings, we must consider different factors to choose the genetics that best suit our preferences. To do this, we must analyze and evaluate their productive levels, their organoleptic properties, as well as their vegetative development and flowering times.
How to use the Boom Nutrients Cutting Kit
First, we must make the cuts during the vegetative phase; specifically, we will select medium-sized branches (between 10-15 cm, generally), always ensuring that they do not suffer from any type of pests or nutritional deficiencies that would prevent the proper rooting of the cutting itself.
Regarding the tools we will use for this process, such as the scalpel and straight-tip scissors, it is advisable to clean and sterilize them with high-proof alcohol, so that the cuttings do not suffer infections after cutting. Likewise, it is important to wash our hands before performing these tasks and to use protective elements such as gloves, masks, or protective glasses.
Once the cuttings are selected, we will prepare the Cloner Boom by adding a small amount to the cap. Next, we will moisten the freshly cut part of the cutting for about 5 to 10 seconds. Then, we will plant them in the properly prepared soil of the 104-cell Plugin Pro tray, which perfectly retains the adequate humidity levels for their proper development.
We will complete this process by introducing the cuttings into the propagator, where we must ensure an 18/6 photoperiod with CFL lamps. Once inside this container, we must spray the cuttings with a product rich in enzymes and vitamins, such as Enzym Boom from Boom Nutrients. Likewise, we must monitor our cuttings daily to ensure their proper development.
What the Cutting Kit contains
Soft Plastic Propagator: with this product, we will be able to offer stable and controlled environmental conditions for our cannabis cuttings to root comfortably, simply, and effectively. It is made with high-quality, non-porous, and easy-to-clean plastic materials. Through its windows, we can let air in when needed.
Plugin Pro 104 Cells: practical 104-cell tray, which will allow us to germinate our seeds optimally and safely, as well as to make cuttings that will form a reduced root system in a few days. Because these plugins do not occupy all the space provided for each of the cuttings, powerful oxygenation and aeration are achieved between each of them. Likewise, it provides a slight percentage of micronutrients that stimulate the root system.
Cloner Boom: rooting gel from Boom Nutrients, composed of algae extracts, natural rooting hormones, amino acids, microelements, polysaccharides, and other vitamins. With this product, we will internally stimulate the cuttings to achieve a greater number of budding points in the new roots. With Cloner Boom, we will achieve a healthy and resistant root system in a short time.
Straight-Tip Scissors: these long, straight-tip scissors are designed for professional handling, ideal for small leaves and branches. This lightweight tool opens and closes easily thanks to its spring installed in the central part. We also recommend cleaning them with a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol.
Scalpel: this precise scalpel is used to cut branches and stems, ideal for making cuttings. With its application, we will ensure that the plants heal correctly, preventing cell walls from breaking and, therefore, that the cutting itself roots perfectly. It measures 14 cm long and 1 cm wide, with a plastic handle and a steel blade.
1L Spray Gun: this pistol-shaped sprayer with a 1-liter capacity is perfect for applying different fertilizers and insecticides to our plants foliarly. To optimize the maximum performance of this product, it is advisable to clean it after each use, as well as to use different aerosols for each of the products we are going to use.
The best pack for your cuttings
With this cutting kit, we will achieve the best results when it comes to preserving our favorite genetics for a long time. To create an ideal environment, we recommend adjusting the temperature to an average of 20-25°C and the humidity to around 60-70%.
