Wedding Cake by Barney's Farm is a world-renowned strain, known for its succulent yields marked by a thick layer of resin and sweet, distinctly earthy "Kush" aromas, which, in combination, evoke various types of cakes and pastries. Generally, it's not a difficult strain to grow and also offers excellent resistance to pests and bad weather, making it an excellent alternative for less experienced growers who want to try a GSC variant. The parentals used for this cross are a selection of Cherry Pie and Girl Scout Cookies.
How to grow Wedding Cake by Barney's Farm indoors and outdoors?
Wedding Cake indoor cultivation
Being a strain with a high Indica dominance, it tends to grow compactly and densely, although as it transitions to flowering, it shows greater stretching, allowing it to reach 1.0 m in height and gain internodal distance. This facilitates the harvest of good-sized flowers in the lower parts, although we may need to perform a small defoliation if the leaves create too much shade. Yields per m² are around 450-550 g, although with a little experience, it's possible to exceed 1 g/W. Harvest can be done after about 55-60 days of flowering.
Wedding Cake outdoor cultivation
Its outdoor development is ideal for growers looking for a low-profile plant that responds well to training and pruning of its branches to shape it to their liking. If we also add that it can be harvested before the October rainy season, it also becomes a good candidate for guerrilla growing. Regardless of the chosen cultivation method, it is an excellent producer that, with a little care, can offer more than 1 kg of dry flowers. More experienced growers can obtain plants close to 2.0 m, with yields of over 1.5 kg.
