Description

OG Kush from the White Label seed bank is an excellent feminized strain with Indica dominance, notable for its considerable productivity, potent relaxing effects, and pleasant citrus flavors with hints of diesel and sweet berries. Regarding its cannabinoid content, its high THC percentages, ranging between 19% and 25%, are worth highlighting.

The history of this strain, originally from Northern California, is one of the most well-known and told by seasoned and experienced growers. Although its exact and specific origin is not known, different studies and research suggest that it comes from the genetic cross of a Chemdawg, a Lemon Thai, and a Pakistan Kush.

Furthermore, the origin of its name is a complete mystery, as many people believe that its initials OG stand for "Ocean Grown" or "Ocean Green," while others suggest it comes from "Original Gangster." As for the seed bank itself, White Label became an associated company of the Sensi Seeds bank. In recent years, it has offered legendary and original Sensi strains at truly competitive prices.

How to grow OG Kush cannabis seeds?

Learn to grow OG Kush indoors

This predominantly Indica plant exhibits a moderate size, as well as a stylized appearance, in which a predominant and imposing central calyx stands out. Its leaves have really wide leaflets and short internodal spacing. As for the buds that lead its appearance, they are concentrated around the main stem, with a sticky resin layer and a striking lime green color.

By growing about 12 plants per square meter in 5-liter pots or 9 plants in 7-liter pots, we will achieve a yield of 550 g/m². Using LED lights, we will get the plants to form tighter and denser buds, as this type of lighting does not increase the temperature in our grow tents.

Learn to grow OG Kush outdoors

Outdoors, this easy-to-grow cannabis plant will be ready for harvest by mid-September, achieving the best results in Mediterranean areas with sunnier and more humid climates. With the appropriate treatments and necessary products, we will achieve profitable harvests of up to 1.1 kg per dry plant, which can reach up to 2.5 meters in height.

For proper care, we can use various preventive products to combat the different pests, fungi, and insects that threaten our crops. Some of the most well-known are Neem oil, as well as Decis Protech polyvalent insecticide and Fungi Boom by Boom Nutrients, whose properties are toxic to botrytis, alternaria, and powdery mildew.

Flavors and effects of the OG Kush seed

Flavor and aroma

This cannabis plant is characterized by an incredible citrus and fruity flavor, from which interesting notes of diesel, earthy, sweet berries, and forest fruits are also extracted. Its pine aromas intensify as the harvest progresses, turning our crops into a magnificent sensory experience, ideal for the most demanding growers in terms of these factors.

Effects

The Indica dominance of this strain is demonstrated in a pleasant and deep physical and mental relaxation, although its Sativa genetics are also appreciated for its high THC levels. Due to these characteristics, this strain is ideal for treating various chronic pains and sleep disorders, as well as for combating loss of appetite, Tourette's disease, fatigue, and asthma, among others.
