How to calculate the airflow that each grow needs

This is probably one of the many doubts that beginner growers have but for experienced ones, it is just another calculation. To know what is the perfect extractor for each grow room, simply multiply the volume of the room x 60.

For example, a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 m grow tent has a 2.88 volume, multiplied times 60, the result is 172.8 m3/h. Then you have to add the air resistance of the components, therefore, you need 20% extra, which would increase the amount to 210 m3/h. It shall be noticed that this calculation takes outdoors temperature as a reference, which means that if temperature goes higher than 20ºC with a GB Lighting 1000W Grow Light, greater refrigeration will be needed.
