GB includes the new Purple Skunk Auto genetics, from the acclaimed Dutch bank Sensi Seeds, in its extensive range of non-photoperiod varieties. This strain, with an indica predominance of 75% and a slight sativa influence of 25%, has been created from three excellent plants such as Skunk #1, Shiva Skunk, and Hindu Kush Auto.
It was developed during the Sensi Seeds Research Project 2021, a program through which a considerable variation of its phenotypes has been achieved, so we can consider it an excellent option for growers who want to give a complete twist to their latest crops, both indoors and outdoors. In terms of appearance, its buds acquire a beautiful and extravagant purple color if grown in cold and temperate climates.
How to grow Purple Skunk Auto cannabis seeds?
Learn to grow Purple Skunk Auto indoors
With a pyramidal appearance and reduced size, Purple Skunk Auto is ideal for beginner growers due to its ease of cultivation and fast flowering. In about 60 days from sowing and a photoperiod of 20 hours of light, we will obtain a production close to 400 g/m² with about 9 plants in 7-liter pots.
One cultivation method we can carry out to keep our buds in perfect condition is to stake the plants. The best time for this is at the beginning of the flowering stage, when we will join the branches and stem with the stakes. Another option would be to use nets to support the plants and distribute the light evenly. In this sense, the elastic scrog net should be placed horizontally about 20-25 cm above the pots. When the tips of the plants exceed this element (about 5 cm), we should guide the branches to obtain plants with prominent colas of much higher weights compared to other plants grown using standard techniques.
Learn to grow Purple Skunk Auto outdoors
In outdoor cultivation, these excellent genetics can offer a production of about 80-100 grams dry, which can be harvested after about 8-9 weeks from germination, with plants that can slightly exceed one meter in height. Thanks to its composition, it fits in small places such as balconies and terraces, favoring cultivation away from prying eyes. Regarding the fertilizers we should use, we must be more careful with the quantities, as we should not over-fertilize the plants. Therefore, we recommend applying half or ¾ of the recommended dose, as well as using slow-release fertilizers if we are going to cultivate in areas that we cannot visit frequently.
