Purple Cherry from Positronics seed bank is a splendid feminized strain, which comes from the genetic cross of Purple Punch x Cherry Pie. These genetics offer high yields of resinous buds, as well as potent effects combined with flashes of lucidity and relaxation. Indica-dominant, this hybrid is really easy to grow both indoors and outdoors, as well as in soil, hydro and coco.
Positronics has made an extraordinary blend of two genetics that have in common the influence of the legendary American strain Grand Daddy Purple in their composition. The cross between Purple Punch and Cherry Pie, with similar properties in terms of aromas, flavors and colors, has managed to develop a plant with a strong structure, moderate branching and high vigor. It also stands out for its short internodal distance, as well as its wide, dark green leaves and its medium sized, tubular flowers.

The Purple Cherry variety is characterized by purple colors, which will add a special and varied touch to indoor growing areas or rooms. With moderate feeding and other nutritional controls, a yield of 450-500 gr/m2 can be achieved when using 12 specimens in 7 litre pots, after a flowering period of 60-65 days. To optimize the performance of your grow under lights, it is recommended that you use Solux Flowering LED Bulb, which are characterized by a longer lifespan, lower energy consumption, as well as minimal heat generation and a full spectrum of light.
Learn to grow Purple Cherry outdoors
In outdoor cultivation, this genetics develops perfectly in warm and Mediterranean climates. Its specimens, depending on the selected phenotype, can reach 2 metres in height. In the same way, Purple Cherry can yield outdoors dry amounts of more than 550 gr/plant, being the ideal date for harvesting at the beginning or middle of October in the northern hemisphere and in April in the southern hemisphere.
On the other hand, one of the most important objectives to obtain the best results outdoors is to prevent the appearance of different types of invasive species such as insects, fungi or other pests. In this sense, different products such as fungicides can be used, ideal for combating any kind of fungus (botrytis, mildew or powdery mildew), boosting the plant’s natural defenses.

Purple Cherry is characterized by an interesting combination of fruity flavors and aromas, reminiscent of red fruits, blueberries, berries and guava, among others. Likewise, soft earthy and menthol touches can be appreciated, which are intertwined with the sweet touches more characteristic of its progenitors. The bouquet created by this variety can be considered long-lasting in the mouth, appetizing and, in certain phenotypes, slightly caramelized.
Effects
Due to its high THC values, this strain is ideal for the most experienced consumers, as its devastating hybrid effect is capable of surprising any connoisseur. Due to its indica dominance, it is considered a highly sedative and analgesic strain, ideal to combat insomnia or different anxiety-related syndromes.
