Data sheet

Description

The TF-HFD-4 vacuum freeze dryer is equipment designed to get rid of water or other solvents from previously frozen samples, keeping them in a solid state during the process. This system operates at low temperature and under vacuum, helping to preserve the original characteristics of the product once rehydrated.

Thanks to its operation at temperatures generally below -10°C, it is suitable for heat-sensitive materials, such as proteins, tissues, cell extracts, bacteria, vaccines, serums, and other biological products. It can also be used with inorganic materials, such as nanoparticles, as it allows their specific surface to remain practically unaltered.

Vacuum drying for sensitive samples

This equipment allows drying liquid and solid samples in flask-type bottles or vials. Its freeze-drying process is designed to preserve sensitive compounds, avoiding the denaturation of delicate materials during drying. The freeze-drying machine allows temperature configuration according to the type of sample, offering greater process control in high-performance laboratories.

Temperature control and high vacuum

Its functions include temperature control in the pre-freezing tray, as well as freeze-limit drying and capillary water removal using high vacuum. This makes it a useful tool for working with bacteria, viruses, plasma, serum, antibodies, vaccines, drugs, etc.

FAQs for the 40mm vacuum freeze dryer machine

Is it necessary to freeze samples before using the freeze dryer?

Yes. Freeze-drying starts with previously frozen samples, so it is important to properly prepare the material before starting the process.

What is the difference between freeze-drying and heat drying?

Freeze-drying operates at low temperature and under vacuum, while other drying methods may use direct heat. This is why it is more suitable for sensitive samples.

Can it be used with different types of containers?

Yes, it can work with samples in flask-type bottles or vials, depending on the type of sample and the laboratory's working format.

What type of laboratory is it designed for?

It is designed for laboratories that need to dry heat-sensitive samples and preserve their characteristics after rehydration.
