Description
pH Down by Emerald Harvest reduces alkalinity in the nutrient solution
pH Down, by the American brand Emerald Harvest, acts as an acidity corrector. The importance of using good quality water can’t be denied. Growers seek the highest pH precision to ensure that plants absorb nutrients properly and avoid other problems, such as blockage of roots.
This Emerald Harvest product is very useful, especially in hydroponics, aeroponics or rockwool grows. All of these systems require a precise pH care for the roots to soak up the maximum amount of nutrients. One of the advantages of this product range is that it self-regulates water acidity. However, we always recommend checking on the values and having a pH corrector at hand, like for example pH Down.
Benefits of Applying pH Down to your grows
Emerald Harvest products already have a pH corrector included in their formulation, which makes growing cannabis much easier. Either way, small pH fluctuations are normal, especially when using osmotic or distilled water, making it necessary to check values regularly. With pH down, it will be very easy to reduce the alkalinity from the nutrients solution.
pH control is essential for plants to develop optimally. Using pH Down is going to help strains perform at their best. pH levels should range between 5.5 and 5.8 during the growth phase, while for flowering they should be at 6.2-6.8. If you manage to achieve those levels, the roots will be able to soak up 100% of the nutrients from the soil, promoting the growth of healthy plants.
How to use pH Down
- CAUTION: This product is corrosive, using gloves and protective glasses when adding it to the irrigation tank is highly recommended.
- Check water values once all the additives and fertilizers have been added.
- Add 1 ml/L, mix well, wait a few minutes.
- Measure again, to see if the pH needs to be lowered more or not.
- If the first attempt wasn’t enough, repeat the process as many times as necessary until reaching the proper pH level.

With very little amount you have it regulated, even though the tap water here is a disaster. It lasts me a lot, super efficient. Does anyone else use it for hydro?

Con muy poca cantidad lo tienes regulado, y eso que aquí el agua del grifo es un desastre. Me dura un montón, es súper eficiente. ¿Alguien más lo usa para hidroponía?
