Description

Somango Marijuana Seeds

Somango is one of the most recognized and appreciated marijuana strains worldwide, especially for its sweet, intense, and fruity flavor, reminiscent of ripe mango and hard to forget. This genetic stands out for being versatile, resistant, and productive, adapting without problems to both indoor and outdoor cultivation.

It is a strain with a long history, originally created by Soma Seeds with the aim of offering a Skunk family genetic with an aromatic profile different from the usual. It is born from the cross between Super Skunk x Korean Big Skunk x Jack Herer, resulting in a plant with penetrating aromas, great vigor, and a balanced effect that has made it a reference in the cannabis world.

Growing feminized Somango seeds

Somango has an Indica dominance of 75% and 25% Sativa, although it is important to note that in bulk seeds, several differentiated phenotypes may appear, all of them with a very high quality level as a common denominator.

Some specimens develop a particularly marked mango aroma, hence its name, while others show more Skunk or fruity nuances with an earthy background. The bank itself defines it as "a perfect plant for cloning, thanks to its vigor and rapid development during the growth phase."

During cultivation, it is advisable to control the EC well, which should not exceed 1.8–2.0, as it is a variety sensitive to over-fertilization. Due to its stable and grateful behavior, Somango is suitable for both experienced growers and those new to cannabis cultivation.

In terms of effect, it offers a social and creative high, ideal for leisure moments, gatherings with friends, or activities that require medium mental fluidity.

Indoor Somango cultivation

In indoor cultivation, Somango develops somewhat tall plants with a tendency to stretch, so it is advisable to control its structure if you want to maximize final production. It does not need very frequent fertilization, as it quickly shows nutritional excesses.

To obtain the most faithful aromatic profile to the original genetic, the use of organic fertilizers is recommended. With adequate temperatures, some phenotypes can acquire purple and pink tones, significantly improving their visual appeal.

The aroma it gives off during flowering is intense, so the use of anti-odor filters is essential. In optimal conditions, between 500 and 600 g/m² can be obtained by growing about 10 plants per square meter with 400–600 W lights.

  • Flowering: 63–70 days
  • Production: medium-high, with outstanding quality
  • Resistance: very good against pests and fungi

The flowers stand out for their abundant, aromatic, and sticky resin, which makes Somango a very interesting option for those looking to make extractions with a distinct flavor profile.

Outdoor Somango cultivation

Outdoors, Somango performs excellently as long as it does not suffer sudden temperature changes. It is a plant with strong branching, capable of doubling its size during flowering, so if more compact specimens are sought, the use of nets or FIM pruning from early stages is recommended.

The buds are not usually excessively large, but they are very dense, with visible resin production even to the naked eye. In addition, it has a very favorable leaf/calyx ratio, which greatly facilitates manicuring.

Outdoors, a well-developed specimen can offer between 600 and 800 grams per plant. Although it shows good resistance to humidity, its relatively long flowering period makes it advisable to prevent with fungicides if rain is expected at the end of summer.

  • Harvest: early October
  • Height: up to 2–3 meters
  • Resistance: good, with prevention against fungi

Common phenotypes in bulk Somango

As these are feminized bulk seeds, it is normal to find slight variations between plants, which adds richness to the crop:

  • Sweet mango phenotype: very fruity aroma, more balanced effect.
  • Skunk-fruity phenotype: more penetrating smell, somewhat more robust structure.

All phenotypes maintain high quality in resin, flavor, and potency, this variability being one of the attractions of bulk Somango.

Realistic production and response to cultivation techniques

Somango responds very well to control and optimization techniques:

  • Apical / FIM pruning: good response
  • LST: highly recommended
  • SCROG: excellent performance
  • SOG: medium response

Indoors, realistic production is usually between 400 and 550 g/m², depending on the grower's level and the techniques applied.

Properties, effects, and flavors

Despite its Indica dominance, Somango offers an initially clear, cheerful, and creative effect, ideal for everyday life. As minutes pass, a more relaxing body sensation appears, so it is advisable not to overdo it if a more calming effect is not sought.

In taste and aroma, sweet, fruity, and fresh notes predominate, reminiscent of mango, ripe apricot, and tropical fruits. It is not an especially sedative variety, but it can help relieve stress and low moods, promoting motivation and creativity.
