Growing Durban Poison Strains Successfully
Durban Poison is one of Dutch Passion’s classics – it does well with both cold and hot temperatures as it’s originally from South Africa. This pure sativa strain arrived in Holland in the 70's and has been used as a strain for making hybrids for years now. It’s been adapted to the climatic conditions of Europe. Its flowers are quite large and its leaves thin, like any good sativa.
Durban Poison Indoor Grow Guide
Indoors we recommend planting this strain from clones and setting them under 12/12 h lights. When done any other way, except techniques such as SCRoG, it’ll grow much too large to be able to efficiently control. This strain is not meant for growing indoors and we recommend doing it outside if you can. If not, and when done by an expert, you can harvest up to 400 g per square meter and 600w light.
Durban Poison Outdoor Grow Guide
Outdoors is where it does best, however, especially when planted in the ground – it can grow up to an impressive three meters. It needs plenty of space – if you’re planting in pots it’ll need a transplant pretty soon to a Large White Flower Pot With Handles. You can harvest up to 600 g from just one of these plants towards the end of September/beginning of October. It produces many branches, and when pruned you can easily control its shape and increase yield.
Effect and Flavor
Its flavor is similar to aniseed; sweet and spicy. It’s pretty much a typical Haze plant, with aromas similar to licorice. It gives quite a stimulating, energetic effect – you’ll feel like getting up and about and getting stuff done.

- Flowering: 55-70 days indoors, end of September outdoors.
- Height: 1-1.5 m indoors, 1.5-3 m outdoors.

Hey guys! My first time with this one and what can I say… awesome. In the outdoor garden it grew like a champ, no pests or mold issues, super resistant. The flowers smell great, very citrusy with that earthy touch I love. If you're looking for something easy to manage with a solid punch, this is it! Really worth a try. Has anyone tried it indoors as well?
