How to Grow African Cannabis Indoors
Indoors, this beauty grows long colas of resinous buds with long, sativa-like leaves. If you grow this plant indoors it’ll be ready in just 9 flowering weeks, although if planting from seed we recommend flipping the lights to 12/12 straight after germination. Also, keep a pair of pruning shears handy as it’s always a good idea to prune saplings that later run the risk of growing too big for your indoor grow, as well as increasing potency and yield on the central stem. You can get 550g with just 12 plants per square meter.
How to Grow African Cannabis Outdoors
Outdoors this plant is harvested quite early, towards the end of September, which is admirably fast for an 80% sativa plant. Durban Poison is also famous for easily putting up with bad weather, as in its place of origin temperatures can easily fluctuate between 40 to 10ºC. You can get up to 600g top quality weed from just one properly-grown plant under the right conditions.

It has a licorice-like odor, similar to its taste when smoked. This plant is perfect for crossing with other plants and experimenting with faster-flowering plants etc. Durban Poison is potent and has extremely dense smoke, even though it’s sativa-dominant. After about 10 minutes you’ll begin to feel its effect; you’ll begin to notice a colorful, narcotic sensation that’ll have you laughing and eventually you’ll come down to a dense, heavy relaxed state.
