Auto GrapefruitZ® is a feminized autoflowering strain from Dutch Passion created to combine yield, potency, and an intense fruity character in an easy-to-manage plant. It comes from a cross between Passion Fruit and Auto Melonade Runtz, two lines that provide vigor, abundant resin, and an aromatic profile dominated by grapefruit and tropical fruits.

This slightly sativa-dominant genetic develops medium to large plants with strong branches capable of supporting voluminous flowers. Its cycle usually completes in about 10.5–12 weeks from germination, although environmental conditions and phenotype can make it last a bit longer outdoors.

Auto GrapefruitZ® Genetics

Auto GrapefruitZ® is born from the cross between Passion Fruit and Auto Melonade Runtz. Passion Fruit, a descendant of Sweet Pink Grapefruit and Orange Bud, contributes much of its citrus and fruity character. Auto Melonade Runtz, for its part, enhances potency, vigor, and trichome production.

The result is a slightly sativa-dominant hybrid autoflower belonging to Dutch Passion's Orange Family, a genetic family known for its citrus aromas and striking orange pistils.

Plant growth and structure

This variety forms medium to large plants, with moderate internodal spacing and thick branches capable of supporting the weight of the flowers. There are various phenotypes; some have a more open and sativa structure, while others grow more compactly.

Its branches respond well to early and gentle LST, as it allows the canopy to be distributed without slowing down the brief vegetative growth of an autoflower. High-stress techniques, such as topping or FIM, should be reserved for particularly vigorous plants and experienced growers.

Indoors, Auto GrapefruitZ® can typically yield between 500 and 550 g/m². In highly optimized grows, the most productive specimens can exceed these figures, although these results require experience and well-controlled environmental conditions.

Outdoor cultivation

Outdoors, it offers better results during months with more hours of sunshine and stable temperatures. It adapts especially well to warm and dry climates, although the relatively open structure of some phenotypes favors air circulation and can help in moderately humid environments.

To avoid delays in ripening, it is advisable to ensure that the final phase does not coincide with continuous rain, low temperatures, or a significant reduction in daylight hours.
