Description
Auto GrapefruitZ® is a feminized autoflowering strain from Dutch Passion created to combine yield, potency, and an intense fruity character in an easy-to-manage plant. It comes from a cross between Passion Fruit and Auto Melonade Runtz, two lines that provide vigor, abundant resin, and an aromatic profile dominated by grapefruit and tropical fruits.
This slightly sativa-dominant genetic develops medium to large plants with strong branches capable of supporting voluminous flowers. Its cycle usually completes in about 10.5–12 weeks from germination, although environmental conditions and phenotype can make it last a bit longer outdoors.
Auto GrapefruitZ® is born from the cross between Passion Fruit and Auto Melonade Runtz. Passion Fruit, a descendant of Sweet Pink Grapefruit and Orange Bud, contributes much of its citrus and fruity character. Auto Melonade Runtz, for its part, enhances potency, vigor, and trichome production.
The result is a slightly sativa-dominant hybrid autoflower belonging to Dutch Passion's Orange Family, a genetic family known for its citrus aromas and striking orange pistils.
This variety forms medium to large plants, with moderate internodal spacing and thick branches capable of supporting the weight of the flowers. There are various phenotypes; some have a more open and sativa structure, while others grow more compactly.
During the last few weeks, the flowers rapidly increase in volume and become covered in a dense layer of resin. The leaves can take on pink, reddish, or light purple hues, and some specimens also express these colorations in the buds.
This autoflower can be grown indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse. It does not require complex techniques or a particularly demanding nutrition program, but it appreciates a stable environment and progressive feeding.
Indoors, a photoperiod of 18/6 or 20/4 can be used throughout the cycle, and even 24/0, although this program requires more precise control of temperature, watering, and nutrition. For most grows, 18 or 20 hours of light allow for a balance between development and efficiency.
Its branches respond well to early and gentle LST, as it allows the canopy to be distributed without slowing down the brief vegetative growth of an autoflower. High-stress techniques, such as topping or FIM, should be reserved for particularly vigorous plants and experienced growers.
Indoors, Auto GrapefruitZ® can typically yield between 500 and 550 g/m². In highly optimized grows, the most productive specimens can exceed these figures, although these results require experience and well-controlled environmental conditions.
Outdoors, it offers better results during months with more hours of sunshine and stable temperatures. It adapts especially well to warm and dry climates, although the relatively open structure of some phenotypes favors air circulation and can help in moderately humid environments.
To avoid delays in ripening, it is advisable to ensure that the final phase does not coincide with continuous rain, low temperatures, or a significant reduction in daylight hours.
Outdoors, normal production ranges from 30 to 75 g per plant. With many hours of sunshine, stable temperatures, and sufficient root space, the best-developed specimens can approach 100–150 g per plant.
Its complete cycle lasts approximately 75 to 85 days from germination. This period corresponds to the total development of the plant, not just flowering. Outdoors, it can be extended by one or two weeks if temperatures are low or it receives few hours of sunshine.
The organoleptic profile of this genetic combines grapefruit, sour citrus, tropical fruit, and sweet candy notes. Its aroma can resemble a fresh fruit cocktail where the acidity of grapefruit and blood orange mixes with a sweet and lively background.
The specific expression varies depending on the phenotype. Some plants have more sour, menthol, or slightly chemical nuances, while others incorporate earthy and woody notes. Despite these variations, the fruity character usually remains the main element.
Auto GrapefruitZ® presents a hybrid effect that begins with a predominantly cerebral, lively, and stimulating sensation. Progressively, this first phase gives way to a pleasant physical relaxation, offering a balance between mental activity and bodily calm.
Dutch Passion estimates its usual THC content to be approximately between 15% and 20%, although certain specimens can exceed this range under optimal conditions. Therefore, it is included in the "very high" THC category. The final intensity may vary depending on the phenotype and growing conditions.
Yes. It is a feminized autoflowering seed that initiates flowering based on its age, without depending on a change in daylight hours.
Its complete cycle usually lasts between 75 and 85 days from germination. Outdoors, it may need a few additional days if it receives little sun or temperatures are low.
Indoors, it can typically yield between 500 and 550 g/m². Outdoors, the usual yield is between 30 and 75 g per plant, although it can be higher under favorable conditions.
Its usual THC content is approximately between 15% and 20%. Some specimens can exceed this range when grown under optimal conditions.
It combines notes of grapefruit, sour citrus, tropical fruits, and candy. Depending on the phenotype, it may also have menthol, earthy, or woody nuances.
Yes. Auto GrapefruitZ® is a vigorous and easy-to-manage genetic that does not require complex techniques to offer good results. It also allows for LST to optimize its production if you have more experience.
