Description
Sour Diesel by DNA Genetics is one of this Dutch seed bank’s best strains. This plant’s strong, resistant, and vigorous; it has quite a clear effect. Growers all over the world love Sour Diesel for it’s pure American flavor.
Sour Diesel Strain origins
Its Chemdawg, Super Skunk and NL genes give it many advantages that other Diesel plants don’t necessarily have. Super Skunk gives it a balanced growth period as well as its lemony, sweet flavor. Chemdawg gives it its healthy, green color as well as making it slightly smaller and bush-like. Lastly, Northern Lights gives it its slightly faster flowering period, allowing for you to have top quality cannabis without having to wait too long.
How to Grow Sour Diesel Strain Indoors
Indoors these plants grow well, as it’s rather easy to control its growth by giving it just 1 week on 18h of light. This will give you a medium-sized plant with few branches, centering most of the yield on the central stem. This plant will grow an epically-sized calyx from the main stem with strong, citric aromas. You can get up to 600g with just 9 plants per square meter under a 600w light. They’ll take around 10 weeks to flower, and you’ll need to hold out until the very end so that the buds can grow properly. For best results, use Bud Candy.
How to Grow Sour Diesel Strain outdoors
When planted outdoors it grows plenty of branches, although most of the yield is still centered on the main calyx, which is a very typically indica structure. These plants are pretty and delicious, as they have quite a characteristic flavor that can stick around for a while. These plants should be ready towards mid-to-end of October.
Sour Diesel Strength
It has a colorful, clear high – an amazing experience. Sour Diesel has a heavy narcotic effect in the come-down, perfect for people suffering from muscle pain etc.
- Sativa/Indica: 45/55%
- Flowering: 55-70 days indoors, end of October outdoors.

The smell is super intense, like gasoline with lemon. Indoors it grows quite a lot, has anyone cut it in 60 days? Mine is going a bit slower.

One of the autos that has surprised me the most. The sour pine flavor they mention is spot on, and the potency... my goodness. More psychoactive than relaxing, just right for working in the garden.

The best I've ever seen, great strain, no matter how many years go by and new strains appear, very happy with them.
