Prepare the cannabis butterPlace the butter in a small saucepan along with the ground cannabis. Heat over very low heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the butter has completely melted.
It’s important not to let the mixture boil. Once ready, remove from heat and let it rest while preparing the remaining ingredients. This butter will be added at the end of cooking to flavor the filling without exposing the cannabis to high temperatures for too long.
Cut the chicken and vegetablesSlice the chicken breast into thin strips so it cooks faster. Then cut the onion, bell pepper, and carrot into thin strips.
If using tomato or cherry tomatoes, cut them and set aside for final assembly. This adds freshness and prevents them from releasing too much moisture during cooking.
Cook the chicken and vegetables in a skilletAdd a drizzle of olive oil to a skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add the chicken, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle garlic powder and paprika to taste. When the chicken starts browning, add the onion, bell pepper, and carrot. Sauté everything for 8–10 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.
At the end of cooking, lower the heat and add the cannabis butter. Stir for 1 minute so the chicken and vegetables absorb the flavor well. Remove from heat afterward.
Air fryer optionIf you prefer using an air fryer, mix the chicken and vegetables in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.Cook in the air fryer at 356°F (180°C) for 10–12 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking so everything cooks evenly.Once ready, transfer to a bowl and mix with the prepared cannabis butter. This prevents the cannabis from being exposed to direct heat for the entire cooking time
Warm the tortillasHeat the tortillas in a clean skillet for a few seconds on each side. You can also warm them in the microwave following package instructions. This helps make them more flexible and easier to roll without breaking.
Assemble the wrapsPlace a layer of lettuce, arugula, or lamb’s lettuce on each tortilla. Add the chicken and vegetables, a few pieces of fresh tomato, and a spoonful of yogurt sauce.Carefully roll each wrap, folding in the sides if desired to prevent the filling from falling out. Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast between the warm filling, fresh vegetables, and creamy sauce.
Notes
To keep this recipe from tasting flat, don’t rely only on the chicken and sauce. The onion, bell pepper, and carrot add sweetness, texture, and extra flavor to the filling. Fresh tomato or leafy greens also help balance the richness of the butter and mayonnaise. You can also experiment with spices. Garlic powder and paprika work very well, but cumin, mild curry powder, oregano, or a pinch of chili can create a more intense flavor. For a lighter recipe, reduce the amount of mayonnaise and use more plain yogurt. If you want a heartier version, add shredded cheese, avocado, or seasoned potatoes on the side.
