The first thing you\u2019ll need to do, obviously, will be to get your hands on some feminized seeds<\/a><\/strong> that will grow nicely in the Gi Grow system. You\u2019re looking for plants that concentrate most of their yield on their central stem<\/strong>, without many branches. Some examples are Critical +, Dream Machine<\/a><\/strong>, Caribe\u00f1a etc.<\/p>\n

Next, you\u2019ll need to germinate as per usual. We recommend using the Tupperware method. Once you\u2019ve germinated the seeds successfully, stick them in some \"Growingsmall rockwool cubes. You can easily get trays with 77 or 150 cavities for rockwool cubes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We recommend germinating at least a third more than you\u2019re planning to plant, as growing in rockwool can sometimes cause some issues with the plants, making them grow at different rates. If you germinate some more<\/strong>, then you can easily select the best ones that are similar in size, which will increase production quite a lot.<\/p>\n

Place the grow light far away from the plants or a cold light like a fluorescent or low consuming light so that the plants can develop without growing too fast as we don\u2019t want them to get too big. The best thing to do is to use white light<\/strong>, which is a lot softer on the plants, \"Growingallowing for a slower growth.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re quite easy to water at this stage; all you have to do is submerge the tray with the rockwool in a tray of water<\/strong> and let it drain out afterwards. The EC<\/strong> in the water should be from 0.9 to 1.1,<\/strong> and the pH<\/strong> should be around 5.8-6.2.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once the second pair of leaves has sprouted you\u2019ll need to transplant to a 10x10x6.5cm cube, which is the cube that will be going into the Gi grow<\/strong>. Now you can move them to the light you\u2019ll be using for growing; a 600w light. Make sure that they don\u2019t dry out too might due to the power and heat coming from the light.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll notice that the stems grow out long and flimsy, which is when you\u2019ll need to raise the EC to 1.1-1.4 and the pH to 5.8-6.2<\/strong>, and also lower the light a little bit to its normal height so that the plants can start growing a strong trunk.<\/p>\n

\"GrowingIn a few days you\u2019ll see the growth begin to accelerate, and you\u2019ll need to pay special attention; once they reach around 15cm you\u2019ll need to flower your plants<\/strong> by placing them in the Gi Grow hydroponic system<\/strong> so that they don\u2019t get too big; if they get too big you won\u2019t be able to plant them in the Gi Grow wheel because the tips of the plants will be much too close to the light.<\/p>\n

Now you know exactly what you have to do to prepare your seeds for their future home, the Gi Grow. No more looking for clones to buy or spending forever cloning plants to fill the wheel<\/strong>. Of course, if done this way there will always be a plant or two that just don\u2019t work out right, but that\u2019s nature I guess<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n
