Every day more and more people are beginning to see how useful cannabis is thanks to laws approved in some of the most evolved countries in the world that allow and even facilitate its consumption. This regulation has caused marijuana cultivation farms to pop up<\/strong> and of course these farms need prepared personnel to tend to the crops. The Niagara College of Canada<\/strong> is planning to include a new course for growers in which they\u2019ll learn all of the tips and secrets needed to work at the increasingly large cultivation farms; the title even comes with a qualification.<\/p>\n

\"Course<\/p>\n

The president of Niagara College, Dan Patterson, has confirmed that one of the most characteristic aspects about the college is its capacity for prevention and anticipation, keeping its students ready to react to changes and needs when it comes to the market, <\/strong>tendencies and industries.<\/p>\n

The idea happened as a direct reaction to the visible increase in cannabis consumers, regardless of how they use it; more people consume cannabis every day, which means that there\u2019s a much higher demand than before. In Canada as well as neighboring countries the recent change in legislation has made the number of cannabis consumers<\/strong>, which usually grows at a steady pace, absolutely shoot up, meaning that people qualified to grow and tend to crops are more needed than ever.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to this new program, all those who finish it will be experts graduated in indoor and outdoor crop systems<\/strong>, knowing all the ins and outs in order to grow the perfect crop, whether it is in large greenhouses or in small indoor crops under grow lights. The course isn\u2019t just going to show its students how to grow plants; they\u2019ll also learn about all rules and regulations surrounding licensed growers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Course<\/p>\n

They already have a place in mind; the course will be held on the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus<\/strong> where other degrees related to farming and agriculture are being studied. This campus has quite a unique set up, placed in a strategic position close to marshlands, vineyards, gardens and just 25 minutes away from the famous Niagara Falls, which is known as the world biosphere reserve.<\/strong> Thanks to this, the conditions at the location couldn\u2019t be better, allowing for diverse and varied programs related to gardening and horticulture.<\/p>\n

\"Course<\/p>\n

It isn\u2019t a complete degree, but rather a one year post-graduate course that anyone with a diploma or degree<\/strong> in a university credited with agro-industrial, agricultural sciences, natural sciences, horticulture degrees or a combination of any of these. The first course is planned for 2018-2019,<\/strong> and it will be a trial to find out exactly how in-demand the position really is; there will only be 25 places in the course, although that number should grow in the following years.<\/p>\n
