It is not considered a safe recreational drug, as some of the <strong>psychoactive compounds<\/strong> it contains do not work like psilocybin. However, the presence of Amanita muscaria has also been detected in Brazil, South Africa, Central Asia, and North America. In short, <strong>it is present all over the planet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among its preferences are <strong>acidic soils at low and high altitudes,<\/strong> as well as the <strong>summer and autumn seasons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most favorable places to find the Amanita muscaria are <strong>coniferous forests<\/strong> (pines, firs&#8230;), <strong>beech or birch forests<\/strong>, at <strong>the base of the trees<\/strong> because it is a <strong>mycorrhizal<\/strong> variety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Description_of_the_Amanita_muscaria\"><\/span>Description of the Amanita muscaria<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This species lives in <strong>symbiosis with trees<\/strong>: in the case of mushrooms, this union between two living beings is called <strong>mycorrhiza<\/strong>, in which both benefit. The Amanita muscaria provides nutrients and water to the tree (nitrogen, phosphorus&#8230;) and the tree provides fructose to the mushroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we mentioned above, regarding its appearance, it fits the prototype of a mushroom with a <strong>white stem and a red cap with protruding white spots<\/strong>. It appears between <strong>30 minutes and 2 hours<\/strong> after consuming it raw. The symptoms are <strong>sedative and depressant effects<\/strong>, <strong>nausea, vomiting<\/strong>, and in some cases <strong>convulsions<\/strong>, all this combined with <strong>hallucinations<\/strong>\u2014an explosive cocktail!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The culprits are the liquids present in the mushroom, and surprisingly, they are not psilocin or psilocybin.
