This species is<strong> native to the Sierra Mazateca in Oaxaca, Mexico<\/strong>, where it has been used for centuries in <strong>shamanic rituals<\/strong> in the context of curing or divination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>active constituent <\/strong>of this plant is the trans-neoclerodane diterpenoid <strong>salvinorin A<\/strong>, which is <strong>the most potent hallucinogen found in nature<\/strong>. In addition, in regards to its appearance, this plant has<strong> large green ovate leaves with yellow undertones<\/strong> and is able to<strong> grow over a meter (3 ft)<\/strong> in height.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/O81qRgYsbDeBQcKz3QKWRdDjqSZYIBixzo1t_wVrlYqVpeelCLWHWdu2rgVVTvvBRRavMCgmvnvWHAxWCDro6HlSxYwej3HdooZyrT1NUNAJitnNbKWWnZoHMK5x0xeBa9e-1_kg0F-dupWWuOttjwU\" alt=\"Plant leaves\" title=\"Plant leaves\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Different_ways_to_call_the_Salvia_Divinorum\"><\/span>Different ways to call the <em>Salvia Divinorum<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The main name of this plant, <strong><em>Salvia divinorum<\/em><\/strong>, comes from Latin and it <strong>means \u2018sage of the diviners\u2019<\/strong>, probably due to its common use in religious and ceremonial rituals by shamans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, there are many other names to refer to this specific species such as <strong>\u2018ska mar\u00eda pastora\u2019, \u2018seer\u2019s sage\u2019, \u2018yerba de la pastora\u2019, \u2018magic ming\u2019 or just \u2018salvia\u2019<\/strong> among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_is_Salvia_Divinorum_used\"><\/span>How is <em>Salvia Divinorum<\/em> used<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve already seen some of the ways in which this plant can be consumed, still, here is a brief list of all the different possibilities to use salvia:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Directly<strong> ingesting fresh, raw leaves<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Drinking the leaves<\/strong> infused with tea<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chewing and swallowing<\/strong> them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smoking <\/strong>the leaves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administering them in <strong>tinctures <\/strong>just like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gbthegreenbrand.com\/CBD-oil\/5854-gb-cbd-oil.html\">CBD oil<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that<strong> depending on the method<\/strong> used,<strong> the active principle of this plant will be absorbed faster <\/strong>than in others, and the <strong>effects will also be different<\/strong>.
