This recipe is an Indian favorite with a twist; crunchy onion with cannabis! This original recipe is considered a classic in India, and it’s pretty simple to make! You can combine this with any other dish, as it makes for the perfect side dish!
In India this dish is called bhujia, and is known for its softness with its succulent and crispy texture. We’re going to show you this amazing recipe combined with cannabis and cannabutter, giving it that little special touch.
Ingredients:
- 2 medium sized onions cut up into slices.
- 90g of bean flour
- 1 spoonful of cannabutter
The juice from half a lemon- 1 spoonful of ground turmeric
- Half a spoonful of sweet pepper
- 1 spoonful of entire cumin seeds
- 2 spoonfuls of freshly grated ginger
- A bit of salt
- 2 cloves of chopped garlic
- 1 spoonful of ground up cannabis buds
- A small amount of frying oil
- Cold water
Preparation:

First, mix up the flour with the lemon juice, the melted butter and a little bit of water until the mixture is thick and smooth. Then, add in the spices, the cannabis, the garlic, the cumin and the ginger. Then, add the onions and mix properly, making sure that the onions are completely covered in the mixture.
Heat the oil up to 180º in a pan, and once it’s hot enough use the spoon to drop in bits of mixture. Leave them floating in the oil for two minutes on either side for a couple of minutes.
It’s important to control the temperature of the oil, as if it gets too hot the THC in the cannabis will lose most of its properties and the effect will be quite subdued.
Make sure to drain the oil off of the crunchy onions and you’re ready to serve it! You can serve it as a side dish or on its own; however you prefer!
